what kind of person are you at a gig?

i used to be constantly up the front going mental, but now im more one of the people halfway back standing there, occasionally headbanging but generally not going as ape, and just in front of the people who move less than the furniture.

Plus, wearing glasses plays havoc with headbanging.

I hate crowds.

I'm the kind of person that likes to get as far to the front as possible, nothing beats that amazing feeling being right infront of the people playing the music.

I *try* to stay far forward, but sometimes I get mashed around a bit. I need to be bigger I think.

I love that feeling when everything explodes and you think "Oh my god, I'm going to die!". Great stuff!

Toward the front taking it all in. Unless there's moshing going on.

I was up front for the G3 a couple years ago. The crowd was great, everyone getting along. Nothing like being smack in front of John Petrucci (hubba hubba) and Steve Vai. I was in heaven.

Anyway, I stand at the back with my arms crossed scrutinising the band and God fucking help them if I don't approve!

it depends on the concert and the band. if the band's boring i stand cross armed to protest against time. otherwise i avoid the stand cross armed. you know, it's somehow a sign of "i do NOT like your band" or "i'm just not in a good mood".

furthermore it depends on the style of the band and if i want to see the band wanking their guitar.

I go un-noticed usually and have been known to ignore my friends.

So up front is where i am except when i'm lurking in the shadows having a good time.

You look like you've been told a naughty secret in that picture Regal.

Anyways, I'm in different places dependant on the band. If they suck, I'm at the bar with my back turned. Usually I reside in the middle and try to find the spot where it sounds the best and I have a good view. Then I rock out to the music. Sometimes if the band is particularly awesome or the club is small, I'll head to the front and bang my head.
