Metallica is one of the most influential bands of all time, 2nd only to Black Sabbath in metal.
Bitching because people don't like things is what makes the world go around. You don't like that we don't St. Anger and that we're bitching about it, and you are bitching about that! If you like it, kudos to you. I hope you use it to fuel the creative juices and create great and meaningful things.
Personally, I dont HATE Metallica, but I do hate what they've become. I think they are a lame parody of what they once were. Without a doubt they are one of the most influential metal bands ever! However, I doubt bands will be listing Re-Load and St. Anger as Metallica's most influential albums in the years to come. Just like I don't hear anybody list Techincal Ectasy or Eternal Idol as their most influential Black Sabbath albums.
