You really don't see a problem with Intelligent Design? You really don't see anything wrong with "teaching both sides" and "letting the children decide". Matters like that are not decided in a highschool classroom. Matters like that are decided in the scientific community by people who know their subject.

Yes I have a major problem with it, but I have issues with a great deal of the crap that is taught in schools these days, and even more issues with what is not taught in schools these days. That's why my children are home educated. Although I confess alchemy is something we are looking at. But then there's all sorts of heretical shit on my curriculum, like Latin, grammar, oratory and manners. As it happens I spend a lot of time pondering on how best to teach them about religion. You can't just ignore it - it's there, they need to know about it, they need to understand the basics of the world's principal religions and indeed some of the whacky ones that are around them in the place we live in

AFAIK, Agnosticism preaches tolerance of the religious. I am completely intolerant of any and all religious affiliations. Were there a way to irradicate the memory of religion from human society (peacefully or forcefully) I would be on board early. Of course this is also coming from a guy who would support mandatory sterilization at birth. You need a licence to drive a car right?
