To do? Absolutely.

To watch? Well that depends.

I'm pulling for Norway and Canada as well y'know. This is like their only time to shine on a global stage ;)

EDIT: Pretty sure this game is already over...first period isnt even over.

You'd think Finland would be better than this.
I've watched olympics and world championship games from like 1997 and I have never, ever, EVER seen one of the big seven teams take a beating like that. We sucked so hard it was almost awesome :D

I was actually surprised to see the final score at 6-1. Was kind of hoping for a shut out, but I guess after the first period the US just kinda went on the defense instead.

It was damn close at the end there.

Well you can still pull for them for a bronze! Finland looks terrible, so Slovakia's chances are good.

No it won't. Even if we somehow manage to beat Slovakia, which I highly doubt, it doesn't change the fact that Finnish ice hockey is in a crisis. Right now we suck hard and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

It's not in that much crisis, it's just your core players like Selanne are just older now, and they need to get more young blood on the team.

Well that's the thing, we don't have any young players like Selanne. Zero. None. I kinda see that as a major problem :D

The problem with the Slovak team is going into every tournament and game over-confident and then taking a couple of games or the first quarter getting our butts whipped before waking up and fighting back. The Canada game was a case in point - a great comeback but just too late to equalise.

well, I guess I meant that it will be as normal as it can be in these games..
Many players were left out so these "gramps" could go and play, but it is really time to change the team.
It's not always the experience that is the best quality of players, but also attitude, skating and what Jarkko Ruutu does best, messes up the opponent's game.
it's 2-1 for slovakia now, but I haven't lost my hope yet.
Radivojevic just got 2+2 mins for hitting Olli Jokinen in the ear. Great!

edit:
they made another goal, and now it's 3-1 and they still have 2:10 penalty to kill.
Not that great.
Now the hope is almost gone.
