why bother...next four years? I could see W reworking the constituition so that he's elected for another term...and another...and another. You'd think being so old, no body would want him. But nobody understands that George Bush...is a robot and cannot die. Sent from the future through Barbra Bushes uterus to destroy the world. His conquest will not be over untill the blood of the inocent flows through the streets.

I have to say (and I'm not digging at Americans here), that America doesn't technically have a democracy anymore.

Both Kerry & Bush said what needed to be said in each state in order to win over the people. They were both dirty in their tactics.

A democracy means that you get a real choice.

I agree to an extent,... it would be great if we had more people to choose from and if they reworked the system so we actually KNOW what's going on but right now, this is what we have to work with.
People voted for Bush and Bush we got.
*shrug*
I still don't like him or the way it works but I didn't vote for him, lol.

That made sense before I typed it.

I have to add that there are a lot of lazy people (and please don't think I mean you guys) that simply don't want to know about politics. There are plenty of them here in the office I work that just don't care, so you can just imagine how many of them there are in the general population. And I seriously doubt this is a problem only confined to America. The information is out there, you just have to bother looking for it, and caring to look for it. If you want to be blissfully ignorant (like the 2 receptionists I'm forced to listen to all day long...chatty...don't get me started), then it's easy to say you don't know enough about the issues cuz you were busy watching The Bachelor or Sex & The City reruns. Because really, it's not prime time TV's job to feed the information to you. They're not going to make their money that way. There are books and magazines to read, cable shows, AM radio, the internet...it's all out there, you just have to want to know.

I was thinking that last night that America is no longer a democracy, now that Bush is re-elected and wanting to push this stupid Patriot Act....whats so Patriotic about the FBI having the right to tap into everyones phonelines and internet connections without any real good reason.

I may have not much room to talk, i didnt vote, i happen to be an american because my parents chose to fuck and give birth to me here instead of Canada, or Sweden or some other country.

Just if this country survives for another 4 years, i'll be suprised...but i got the feeling i'll be char-broiled in a few years.

America is a democracy because we voted; government by the people. You may not like who was chosen, but we still voted.

We are a democracy, yes. But damn, we need to start to fight for more choices than what's put in front of us.

And yes, I completely agree with the laziness. I won't elaborate because I just got done fighting with my best friend over that one, lol.

and I think the media should keep its fingers out of the presidential race...I mean, of course they need to cover it. But the influence is a little too big. Of course I´m not an American but one of my best friends is 50%-American because his dad is from Michigan and he told me about how bad that is over there and I was able to see some US news coverage myself. I haven´t experienced that here but maybe I´m wrong. Oh yes, and laziness is a global problem when it comes to politics. It´s not any different here.

Early man walked away as modern man took control Their minds weren't quite the same, to conquer was his goal. So he built his great empire and slaughtered his own kind then he died a confused man, killed himself with his own mind

We're only gonna die From our own arrogance !!!

Lemme see... There are (if we assume that 50% vote, probably a bit more) 600-70 million democrats in the us. How many guns are there?

To quote Hammerfall:

Let your voice speak for the revolution
All join forces with all the powers that you feel
Let your heart beat for the revolution
Led by the Templars of Steel

Let's spread the word of the sole survivors
with metal pounding inside their souls
The fire burns, and it will forever
blaze for the ones who stands strong

And you all cry for freedom
with your fists in the sky

Let your voice speak for the revolution
All join forces with all the powers that you feel
Let your heart beat for the revolution
Led by the Templars of Steel
You are the Templars of Steel

Hurrah for Bush

Some of these would have happened anyway.
It's the lack of concern and care for others that causes most of it, Bush or no Bush.
None of it could have been changed overnight,... it would be nice,... but realistically, even if Kerry won, these things would all be here tomorrow too.

True, and I know Kerry is also an a$$hole, but I know for sure that Kerry would have spent more time mending these wounds, than making them worse.
