HOW COME all our BEST players got injured JUST BEFORE the olympics?!

It's not that bad, come on. The Finnish women's team gave the Russians a spanking, at least.

At least you're not obliged to support Slovakia. The Canadian Women's team kicked our asses 18-0.

Everyone knows that canadians are 33% woodland creature. That's how they succeed in the winter games.

Sounds HAWT.

Currently enjoying the Speed Skating. Mens 500m. These guys are nuts! And the ice resurfacing is slow and annoying!

Finland:Slovakia for the final. That'll be so much better than Canada:USA.

Most of the pundits I have read seem to think Canada will wipe the ice with Slovakia on the grounds that their women's team did so in the women's tournament... hmm, I'm thinking Slovakia are not going to be sending the girls out again in the men's semis.

Besides Slovakia have Satan on their side. How can we lose?

Not the biggest hockey fan, but the games that America has been playing are pretty amazing. Really intense stuff.

It's because it's a sport that's fun to watch that we're underdogs in. America is never usually less than "a potential favorite" when it comes to the Olympics.

A lot of countries have us beat in a lot of events. Speed skating is dominated by the Koreans (minus Apolo Ohno) and curling was dominated by the Canadians. The Norwegians have been racking up medals in almost all skiing events.

It's also because our hockey team is loaded with the best pros we have to offer! haha

Well no duh, it's not like we win everything, I'm just saying that we usually are a contender in some capacity. In hockey, we're always an underdog.

You forget that 99.9% of pro hockey players (especially the top pros) are not from the US.

To be fair, I added a layer of opinion when I said sports that are fun to watch... (I really don't care about the biathlon)

And to be fair, if it wasn't for our absolute dominance in extreme sports (I know we don't win everything but it's pretty damn evident who's generally the leader when it comes to that stuff) we probably wouldn't even be in the top 3 of olympic medals.

of course I watched it - Austria is on top ex aequo with Russia. At least when it comes to most 4th places...

Those Canadian female hockey players sure know how to party. Apparently the higher-ups at the Olympics were not amused with their fanless, open ice shennanigans, or the kinda-yes-kinda-no-kinda-maybe underage drinking.

You'd think Finland would be better than this.
