Extreme just announced some tour dates, and if things go right, I'll finally be able to go to one of their shows! Hooray for me!

Me, too! *crosses fingers & toes*
Is King's X really going to tour with them? That would be swell. 8)

i just saw the Gigantour with children of bodom in flames megadeth high on fire and job for a cowboy. i must say the first 2 acts wernt that good vocals were not distinguisable. and the guitars wer musshy. and even before the show started we wer screaming "bodom bodom" the 2 good things tho were that high on fire did a bass solo on the tower speakers. and that a hot chick crowd surfing landed on my face. woot 3rd base without trying.
the third band was the best of the night imo it was of course Children of Bodom. and i forgot to mention i was front row on the berrier for the first 4 acts and i got roope latvala's pick its a tiny jazz pick i think about 1mm or so. with a band of surgical tape wraped around it. it was sweet. and of course alexi came over to where i was standing and did one of his solo's right in front of me. roope too and henkka also came around a couple of times. it was funny alexi was harrassing janne again through a couple of his solos and of course alexi had a couple of MGD up on stage. jaska was also amazing. yea i was screaming "perkele" the whole time :P
next came In Flames which is an amazing band live fucking better than recorded. the only thing i dident like was that they had overkill for lights. four cubes of lights on the stage along with the ones behind and infront of the stage. it got kinda hard to see the band when the lights shone directly in my eyes. also of note some big fat guy with a skruffy beard was screaming "bullet man" every time they stoped a song.

the dammage? well i think i pulled a couple of muscles in my arms and back but other than that im fine. pretty good for my first concert ever eh? get to the raill and hold it through 4 sets *about 2 hours* id say i did good
well what about the last set? i was thirsty and needed to piss like nobodys buisness so i left to get do my thing and get a couple of drinks. also i was tired from being in line for over 2 hours and also pushing back with all my might for another 2 so i went and stole a chair from the old gezer section and camped out in the back of the building. i could see fine since i was so far back and the sound was good too i could still feel the dobble bass reverberateing through my chest. it wasent flapping my pants by no means but it was good dave was useing his new silver dean. dave played some of my favorite megadeth songs like "a tout le mond" and "trust" "hanger 18" and "sweating bullets" also megadeth did a 2 song encore.

the spoils? well as mentioned before roope's pick and i also bought the blue monocrome "united abominations" T and also the "blooddrunk" T and also the album with dvd. 50 for the ticket 20 for the cd 40 for blood t 40 for the UA t being on the berrier for one of your fav 3 bands... priceless.

ok after the show i walked out and it was raining... and also it took about an hour to get out of the parking lot. but all in all one of the best fucking nights of my life. so next morning kinda felt like a night after rough sex. your sweaty your smelly your sore but you cant help but have this shit eating grin on your face.

Now you're asking for it!

I wouldn't even have noticed if it wasn't for the "don't ask" part. But now I want your story :D

It was absolutely phenomenal, in my top 5 gigs.

PG was immense, the man didn't miss a note, plus he's a funny bugger too :P

Satriani also rocked, although he played a disappointing range of tunes, they were all from Satchafunkilus or Surfing With the Alien, apart from Crying and Summer Song. Even so, great show. The fact that I'd been sitting in the hard rock café for about 7 hours before the gig supping long island iced teas helped me get into it though
