But still, the concert kicked as and I had just as much fun as I would have had in a black shirt.

Thats what you think. You would have had such a better time in black, dont deny it!

People, people, people.

Everyone knows that wearing a shirt AT ALL is not metal.

End of discussion.

i dont agree with that but would be cool is if you went and saw a band like "strapping" and did as your told and bought a fuckin t-shirt,then the next time they came through wear the t-shirt you bought at the previous show,i guess it just shows if you bought a t-shirt at the last tour then it kinda tells your a strong supporter and go to any show they have in your town and yeah thats it.(i dont personally do this but its an idea)

NO!!!! I dont want to hear any of this "metal is about..." crap. Metal is about creating good music. It is not about dressing, fuffilling any emotional desires, its not about the community, it has no further meaning than a genre of music. You add your own individual meaning to the music you listen to, and same with the artist. They add their own meaning. Nothing is universal like it is in Punk, emo, hardcore, etc.

end rant

I just wear whatever I am wearing that day, which is whatever shirt my hand grabs when I stick it in my cupboard in the morning to get dressed.

I went to a gig yesterday with some friends, and 3 out of 4 of them changed into their 'gig' shirt just before we left, so I laughed at them.

I can understand why people would intentionally not wear a the shirt of a band they are going to see, after all, you're at their gig, of course you're a fan but it really doesn't matter. I don't know why you'd wear a shirt you bought at a gig though, unless you turned up shirtless. You'd get too hot.
