Delirium Cordia is absolutely brilliant to listen to when somewhere dark. I remember going to Iowa with my family one night to visit my brother and sister-in-law and it was dark, and on the way there I listened through that entire thing in the car, and with no lights around or anything it was surreal.

I'd also like to throw in ANYTHING from the Residents to the list.

there's a song by a scandinavian band called motorpsycho...think it's called 'demon box'...and it's the darkest thing i've ever heard. the music is really quiet and spiky, and there's a monologue by some scary, bitter old woman about the similarities between what the body experiences at orgasm and at death, and she also starts talking about 'the crowbar and the vagina...'

Yeah! The whole "Demon Box" album is killer! But the title track and the song "Feedtime" are just classics. Awesome band, great variety.

But anyways, the song "Demon box" has like 10 minutes of insane noise in the middle....crazy shit. The song with the old woman talking.....isn`t that the song before "Demon Box"? Not important but....

How could I have forgotten the Bends? I find Pink Cigarette to be another pretty creepy Mr. Bungle song. Another one that I've forgotten until now would be Poor Edward by Tom Waits, but that one's more depressing, but still pretty disturbing.
