Yeah, he did escape prison. He was going to run away to join the French Foreign Legion but he changed his mind so he turned back in his stolen car to Oslo, where he was caught.

I personally dont give people with Nazi beliefs the time of day. He just sounds like an idiot

"Instead of expressing what I think about all of this, I will tell You what this cult, and in particular the Friday 13th mystery, really was all about."

This guy is a fucking idiot. If you are going to write about something, know your goddamn history. Friday the thirteenth as an unholy day was brought about by Pope Clement V when he arrested the Knights Templar.

Of course there were no references on his site.

ha!¨

There was history in Europe before popes, chrstianity and discovering Americas.

yes there is plenty of references there. Like where "friday" as a word comes from.

just try to figure out how medieval shit this is about, he is approaching it from a weird angle but it is interesting.

I am not doubting that there was history in Europe even before the Greeks, I do not even doubt the fact that 13 and 7 and 6 are considered special numbers in the primitive numerology that went along with the primitive religion. I AM doubting that he did not put much thought behind this drivel. He quotes no one except that woman's book at the beginning and unless he is really old and lived through those times, he needs to list where he got his information. It is not enough to just state something and say it's the truth.

Satanism, if you didn't already know, is much more modern philosophy than paganism. It was started in 1966 by Howard Stanton Levey (Anton Szandor LaVey). He is right in saying that Satanism did not originate in Europe, but to say that devil worship never happened in medieval Europe is laughable.

The theory that Friday the 13 was started with followers of the knights templar is a new assertion, but one that holds a lot of water. A hell of a lot more water than the idiocy that I just read.

No news to me mate!

I must point that modern "western" traditions, holidays etc are based on PAGAN rituals, only adapted by chritians to what is seen to day.

I wish someone could find another source for this pre-christian (or anti-christian:) pagan history, I do not wish to rely too much on information from a neo-nazi.

Also in addition to the pagan rituals being practised now in chritianised label, I would also point out that as in all "wars", the history is written by the winners, and I really do not believe in "dark ages in primitive EUROPE" before widespread christianisation. I actually do not believe any culture was vile and primitive until touched by politics and organised religion or other manipulation of masses to serve some one with a power trip.

Indeed, the Roman's would have you believe that any non-roman was some form of brain eating ape-man. It was basically a mixture of a lack of tolleration towards other cultures and propaganda for back home.

In reality, most of Europe were incredibly civilized had money, tax systems and society.

They just didn't write anything down, which is a shame.

Wasn't literature originated in Persia = Iraq?

There's lot of stuff for western world to steal apparently.

Don't know where literature was "invented", but certainly Sumarians, Mesopatanians and Babylonians had text. You can see it all in the British Museum. Very interesting stuff.

What's more interesting is that they have rough translations and there are stories which are similar to Noah's Arc. This was all written WAY before the Bible.

There is some (though by no means conclusive) evidence that there was a massive flood involving the shoreline of the Black Sea around 7,000 years ago when tectonic or geological activity caused the NE Mediterranean to surge through what is now the Bosphorus straits, transforming the then freshwater lake into an inland salty sea.
It is possible that this may have been the "background" for such ancient flood tales as the Epic Of Gilgamesh from Babylon and of course, Noah's Ark. All ancient civilisations in the area (Sumerians, Mesopotamians, Babylonians etc) had a defining flood legend, and it is possible that the story may have survived long enough until cuneiform was developed and was then passed down the generations as written history.

Varg was essentially a satanist as a teenager when he was a member of the infamous black circle, then like many at the time it suddenly dawned on him that you can't be a satanist if you refuse to acknowledge the existence of god. They're not mutually exclusive (by the way, there is no God or Satan, but I'm just telling the story). So he became a Paganist. In reality this was probably his 'better' period because he did have some knowledge of Nordic history and mythology. It's also where his hatred of Christianity really took off given their record of bloodshed in his country. Anyway, after he was arrested for murdering Euronymous he did start to lean towards neo-Nazism.

Now I'll say this. Varg is quite an intelligent person. Perhaps he is impressionable too. I don't agree with all of his beliefs but I can certainly understand some of them. The Satanism, well the ideology of Satanism is actually very impressive and far more logical than any rubbish sprouted by the Christian faiths. Too bad I don't believe in God but really I guess I'm a Satanist at heart without actually 'worshipping' any deity.

Paganism, well that's fairly harmless too really and yes the Pagans were treated woefully when the Christians raided Norway a few hundred years back. The Nazism I'm not a fan of.
