Wow, in the last months I really didn't listen many other bands than SYL and DTB... ;)

Let's see :
Samael - Passage
Yoko Kanno & The Seatbelts - The whole CBBB soundtrack
Jethro Tull - War Child
Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden
And some Children Of Bodom from time to time...

Oh, wanted to know, what sort of music is Porcupine Tree ?
I feel lke I always here talking of this band, maybe it's just on this board but the name sounds curious, so it makes me curious to know what it's like and how it sounds. Is it some metal ? Or another genre ?

Porcupine Tree are not metal, although In Absentia had its moments. The styles of music involved are really quite diverse. I've heard Lightbulb Sun and Stupid Dream compared to Radiohead's The Bends. I suppose I could agree, but they are so much better. In Absentia is much like the other two, but heavier in places.

The stuff before Signify is primarily the solo effort of Steven Wilson, who may be recognized as the guy who produced Opeth's last two albums. The guy is a friggin' genius. Music from this era could be said to have influences from Pink Floyd and mildly from electronic sources. From this era I have The Sky Moves Sideways and Voyage 34, both of which are quite good.

I can't honestly say enough good about Porcupine Tree, so...since Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun are currently out of print, get hold of In Absentia for now. The other two should be re-released some time this year.

*waits for Coma Divine to come through and blow me away*

No way Divide, couldn't have put it any better myself. :D I've only actually been into the Tree for about the last 6-8 months, as their stuff is completely unknown retail/radio-wise here in Oz. It was a mate who'd heard of them via a Swedish Death Metal site of all places who, stoned, emailed me one night saying: "Dude, you gotta check some of this stuff out..."
And so I did, and the rest is history. :D Steven Wilson is indeed a total genius...he should work with Dev one day. THAT'D be something to hear! 8)

thank god. I´ve been trying to get those 2 for quite a while and can´t afford to pay 150 € for each of them...and certainly wouldn´t do that anyways.

I couldn´t agree more. That would be an amazing thing if those two geniuses would collaborate. I think Dev once said in an interview that he would and so did Steven....sooooooooo maybe it WILL happen one day. (please please please please please please please.....please) :)
