if Kubrick had managed to complete his AI project before he died, without leaving a large chunk of it to be completed by Steven Spielberg, would it have been better, worse or the same as that which was released with Haley Joel Osment and Jude Law?

Definately better. I didn't really like AI too much. Granted, it was better than most of the mundane movies that Spielberg releases, but it still wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. Not to mention that I hate Haley Joel Osment, that little weasel.

I wanted to vote Dr. Strangelove with his nazi right hand at first but then I remembered the first 5 minutes of Full Metal Jacket. Those are the best 5 minutes in film-history.

A Clockwork Orange is my favorite, although all of his films are amazing.

I think AI would of been much better under Kubrick. And Haley Joel Osment is definatly terrible.

They showed "Barry Lyndon" on TV last night. First time I'd seen it in ages.
The locations were amazing, it kinda made me want to jump straight on a 747 and go and find these beautiful places. I could see how it wasn't a critical or commercial success however, as it was fairly long and released in 1975 just as the "big action blockbuster" genre was really starting to kick in.
Not bad though, but far from his best effort.

The Shining for me...and I´m not really surprised that Eyes Wide Shut didn´t get a vote so far.

I've not seen it, but considering it had both Tom Cruise AND Nicole Kidman in it, quite frankly that's enough to stop me.

I can only speak for myself but it really was one boring movie IMO. I´ve seen better porn vids than that movie

I like Barry Lyndon alot actually. I think the pace and feel of the movie is extraordinary. It has a slow, deliberate feel to it that is so different from most movies these days. Visually, one of the most stunning movies ever made.

No kidding...and that disturbing piano that runs throughout the whole movie...arrrrrgh!
I voted ""2001" btw, space always does it for me.
