..on the last leg of the entire Deadwing tour, in cambridge. Amazing show, the guys were on top form, next time they tour, which they said should be some time next year to promote a live DVD they have coming out, go and see them. It is 100% worth it.

Also, as an edit, some interesting christmas lyrics were read out before Lazarus was played "Follow me down, to santas groto, sliegh bells are ringing, from out of the snow". But apparently the rest of the band had promised to walk off if this was sung at the chorus. "They are clearly the greatest lyrics ever written".

Haha, those lyrics surely are the greatest ever written. Deadwing is an amazing album, but I guess a lot of older PT fans think it's mediocre at best. Oh well.

yay...I saw them too on November 29th in Nuremberg. Was fucking awesome, I bought a fuckload of merch including a tom skin signed by the whole band...d'oh. Met SW after the show, didn't wanna bother him too much but got a pic taken and it was simply one of the best days of my life. The setlist was great, the sound was great, the audience was awesome too and the band seemed to have been very pleased with them too and applauded because the people went so crazy. There were people from 13 to 60, that was quite awesome too. The best part about it was that one of my best friends, Andrew, was with me to witness it with me. We nearly froze our asses off for all that but it was worth it! So a few days later I ordered a fuckload of stuff off Burningshed and should get it all next week. To come to an end I would just like to add: DT and SW? I'd blow them!

I think one Aussie fellow PT fan from this board was in Cambridge too...or am I wrong Mr. CD? :)

Edit:
For those of you who didn't know...Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun both will re-released next year...yay!
And for you Germans...WDR Rockpalast will broadcast a PT concert recorded in Cologne on January 8th in the night to January 9th at 12:30 am as far as I can remember.

*lol*
"Next year" is what they told us in 2003, in 2004 and is what they are telling us now. Steven Wilson just seems to be too busy to handle the reissues although all legal topics are cleared. What a mess...:(

I was there and can assure you that this show deserves to be watched! Fantastic concert, although the setlist was a bit too focused on the last two albums. But at least they played "Radioactive Toy"! :D

It was amazingly stunning. They put on a brilliant show, by the way, did you enjoy Frip at all? It sounded interesting at first, but it did drag I must say. Anyway, yes, loved the whole show, amazing.

Also, I was very tempted by the signed drum head mentioned above, but for me it was either one of them or the tour t-shirt, and not having a P-Tree shirt, I took the opotuinty, and am wearing it right now :D

the question is...will they also broadcast Radioactive Toy? I sure hope so! They show 75 minutes of footage so they will have to leave some songs out unfortunately.

And about SD and LS, I think now that both are remixed and remastered I don't think that we have to wait much longer.

Chris: the tourshirt is neat, isn't it? I would have gotten a Halo shirt too but the tom skin was smiling at me. I also got an I.E.M. CD and a Deadwing shirt...spending 100 Euros can go so fast...but when you can get some PT shirts, you shouldn't wait.

Indeed it is, I have it on right now, very cool shirt :). Really wanted the Deadwing special edition signed by the band, but I only had £20 on me, and I figured I wasnt likely to get the chance to get a shirt again. Me and my dad both went, as he got me into the band, and he loved it even more than I did, great time :).

Were you digging the whole Fripp experience, or was it just me who really thought he did the same thing for farrrr to long?
