just got the rust in peace remaster, sounds awesome , but my car CD player wont play it because of the Copy Control techonology on the disc
I dunno, Peace Sells to me was always the most consistent and well written album. The lineup with Gar and Chris with the jazz/fusion element was always interesting, and Killing is My Business is another one of my favorites.
So Far suffered from poor production, but the remaster gives this album some balls, and I like it a lot, but it's kinda inconsistent, the only 2 truly essential songs being In My Darkest Hour and Hook In Mouth.
Rust In Peace was really cool when I was into all the technical side of guitar playing but it kinda got old for me...I mean Holy Wars and many songs on that album will always be classics but it's more of a show-offy album.
Countdown was a great album but suffers from some inconsistency. Ashes In Your Mouth is one of my fav deth songs ever.
Youthanasia is a refreshing change in sound but has some inconsistency as well.
Cryptic Writings began to be too commercial, although it was still enjoyable.
Risk was...interesting. I can appreciate it for what it is but compared to past efforts it doesn't compare at all.
TWNAH was uninspired, save a couple songs (Dread, Return to Hangar). The talking samples, as in all Megadeth songs, annoyed me. Think how much better 502 offa SFSGSW woulda been without that freakin cop car bullshit.
TSHF is the best since Youth, has some really good thrash songs, but for me lost it's appeal kinda fast...I dunno. Could be my recent fascination with much heavier bands that makes it seem kinda bland.
