Yes, they should concentrate on getting stuff like past participles taught instead.
Don't you dare tell me that that was sarcasm.

Matters like that are not decided in a highschool classroom. Matters like that are decided in the scientific community by people who know their subject.
Hell let's teach alchemy in chemistry classes. And what about astrology? Hmm? You gotta teach both sides don't you? Oh intelligent design has nothing to do with religious propaganda. How silly of me to claim that it pollutes the common knowledge of mankind!

Could there be a supreme being? An all knowing, all powerful overseer? Could it be that there is an energy field, all encompassing that has no consciousness?
I have no fucking idea and neither do you.

My final point is that give it time. Atheism and nonbelievers is on the rise around the world and slowly but surely I'm sure silly things such a religion will be weeded out and we can finally have the burden of it lifted off the shoulders of the human race.

That would make you agnostic. Agnosticism is not a religion.

Are you going to lead from the front on that policy?

That was the plan. I was thinking a little "Vader's Theme" by John Williams in the background as well.

You're going to have 'Vader's theme' playing in the background while someone lops your nads off? Woahh, that's some political conviction right there!
Not many candidates with the balls to castrate themselves with or without the Star Wars soundtrack.

That's the definition of taking one for the team. Eliminating the possibility of accidental pregnancy can only benefit the species. It doesn't have to be a "forever" thing... Just until we get a few things sorted out species wise... ie. condoms not bibles, nuclear fucking weapons, uncensored interwebs, military access to nanotechnology, vast reorganization of currency and commerce, etc.
I think Vader's Theme would help reinforce the message:
You all fucked up. Unless we fix this shit now, it's all downhill from here. By letting it get this far, we all will need to sacrifice for the good of the species. Some bad motherfuckers have been throwin' shit down for about the last 100 years and none of you have called them on their bullshit. Some of you will think this is unfair. For those of you who will be receiving a hot meal for the first time in your new form of shelter, please explain to the have's what the have not's have been going through for, well... as long as humans have recorded their history. At your leisure, of course.
