Apologies if there's already a topic devoted to this, but I did a search and couldn't find one. I have a rapidly growing interest and love of this type of stuff in the last few years, after being a Rock and Metal worshipper for 25years+ (although definitely NOT at the expense of my love of Heavy and Rockin' sounds!). I've always loved heavy fusion, stuff like Sherinian/Planet X, but lately I've picked up some non-heavy stuff and I'm loving every second: stuff like Spyro Gyra, Yellowjackets, Jon Scofield, Venice Beach, Mike Stern and even some classic old school shit like Buddy Rich/Gene Krupa, being a drummer myself.
Any other fans on this site? Any recommendations of other artists doing the heavy and/or funky/smooth jazz and fusion stuff? I need more!
