Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

I've been thinking of going on a working holiday recently. I wish to escape from the UK for awhile, and find some new interesting places. However I need to earn money while doing this, as I have not a lot. :D

But, what I was wondering, if anyone here has been on one, and if so, any stories or good advice you'd be willing to share? :D

Thanks! :D

I was on one in Rio De Janeiro, and one of my kidneys got stolen by a man who looked uncannily similar to Billy Rhomboid...

Wow, you've been doing pretty well without them now. Or did you manage to get a replacement easily enough? :P

You can survive quite well on only half a kidney.

Wasn't me, Islands. I have never been to Rio. I am very fond of kidneys though. Devilled on hot buttered toast. With a glass of port and brandy on the side.

That's ironic.

Also you can't survive on half a kidney. You need at least one whole one. :P

I was on one in Avalon, and I got thrown into a giant apple destroyer by a man who looked uncannily similar to Billy Rhomboid. But it broke in record time. So I'm fine.

Most folks I know that have gone on working holidays have gone to UK, so anything I have heard from them is not going to be a massive help I don't think.

I believe you can. My mother had a kidney removed and then a good part of the other one and does a pretty mean impression of surviving. I thought the remaining kidney-ette just expanded to cope.

And jest not, the destruction of giant apples is a serious matter here. Without constant vigilance the things can fall and roll down hills crushing dazed students who have just come down off their festival-high and blundered into town wondering how they missed the Stereophonics.

Until you hit 60.
