As soon as I read that Dave Mustaine was allegedly on the track, I knew it was fake right away.

Only official thing that will ever leak, will leak when a press release from a record company with at least an album title. Then again, I'm not a fan of Metallica nor do I follow them. I just know for a lot of bands things don't leak out of the blue. It usually runs past the record company first which is usually where its stolen.

Besides, Metallica is a big band and think of themselves as even bigger. I'm not sure they're even going through the common promo thing, I don't think St. Anger leaked until a couple of days before the release back in the days. Or maybe that was to protect us?

I seem to recall St. Anger was intentionally released a week or so before the actual release date that had been confirmed so as to make any leaks kind of moot. It's not a leak if it's already out haha.
