Mikee and Justin are leaving the band, each to do their own thing. Sikth are holding auditions for a new singer(s), apparently. I HATE that this is happening...who the hell can replace those two guys? Sure, Dan and Pin are awesome guitar players, but the vocals were just as important as the music. Damnit!!!!

I still need to get their stuff. I got into them afew years ago, but lost the name of the album which I was going to buy. It shouldn't be to hard to find anyway, I believe the album had a tree on it or something of that description.

Yeh that album is soo much better than their second one...although even on the first album the manic energy of their first ep was lost.

Death of a Dead Day is good too. I'm not a big fan of the more experimental part in the middle of the first album ("Love is in the air...", "Tupeloo").

Haven't heard that first EP though, where do I get it?

And I'm fearing that Sikth will be looking for a more 'mainstream' singer. The singers were the biggest barrier for getting into the music IMO, I just hope they're not looking to lower that threshold too drastically.

New album will be "heavier than all your mums put together" :D

I hope that they go with something completely different...without just going for something really generic....would be interesting to hear it with a very different style

Ha ? I really like that part. Well Tupelo is a cover (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds), but a good one, "Can't we all dream" is great too, just a bit boring at the end.

But I wish they find a singer more in that direction, how can I say, with a louder voice maybe, I've only listenend to "the trees are dead and blablah", which I like a lot, but the vocals get a bit annoying, a bit too "screamcore" or whatever. With such goods musicians I expect something more "progressive", intricate, atmospheric while still relatively heavy.
