That list wasn't very good. I love Dream Theater, but you can clearly see in their latest albums that they're trying to find a larger audience. There last album was more metal, and had a muse rip-off!
I have absolutely no problem with Tom Araya's religiousness:
"I was born and raised Catholic, so it's in my blood. I don't go to church.... I was born and raised Catholic, which is about the extent of my religion. (...) I had my first Holy Communion. I am not an atheist; I believe in God. But my religion ends there. I have my own personal belief system that is so strong it allows me to do what I do. I don't have to worry about going to Hell because of SLAYER, you know? Everyone has a personal belief system and believes in life somehow."

Nothing wrong with that.
The only problem I have with Slayer is their output after the departure of Dave Lombardo post Seasons In The Abyss: horribly produced, and since Diabolus In Musica with a strong nu-metal tendency, thanks to Kery King's fondness for trendy bands like Slipknot. You can call that selling out to a certain degree. Their last album was half a step back in the right direction, though, thanks above all to Lombardo.
