Yeah, the cymbals and hats cranked way up were part of what gave the original so much energy. It's sort of difficult to balance it; I think on the re-release they may have been turned down a bit too much instead of the small amount that might have helped it more.

as a drummer, i have to point out: the snare and toms got BEAUTIFUL. Really, you can hear them reverb, it's awesome.
