I just picked up the first (and so far, the only) Aghora album. For those that aren't familiar, the band is led by talented Florida guitarist Santiago Dobles, features his little sister on vocals, Sean Malone (Cynic, Gordian Knot) on bass and Sean Reinert (Cynic, Gordian Knot) on drums.
Finally, something different in the metal genre! Heavy, progressive thrash with classical-style vocals and Middle Eastern flavouring (there's even some sitar in there). Breathtaking guitar solos throughout, and the ultimate rhythm section. The Seans are given tons of room to be creative, and Sean Malone even has a few bass solos, which are always a treat. I highly recommend this to metal fans seeking something a little different...
