Cool to see some Down fans around here. I can't wait for the new album. They're supposed to start recording soon after this tour.

Their last album was pretty ill-received by many fans, but I thought it had some great stuff on it. It's unfair to expect NOLA-calibre material after seven years of not having played together.

I thought Down II was fantastic, and a great way to continue after the first album.

Will be interesting to hear what direction they go for the 3rd one.

I love Down and really can't wait to see them again when they tour the US. That's a shame that Phil was intoxicated, but that's really nothing compared to a couple years ago when he was touring with Superjoint Ritual or even the last Pantera tour.

I thought Down II was just as good as NOLA, but of course, can't wait for Down III!

Saw them is Oslo a few nights ago, not a super tight concert I would say but it had its moments of greatness for sure! Phil was getting kinda drunk after a while as usual and had these long rants about nowegian black-metal....was pretty funny.

Wow!
It was GREAT to see DOWN live! They played all the classics! It's the day after, but I still can't get my arms down yet!
Phil was humble and thankful, Pepper and Kirk played great!
The only thing I can complain about the concert was that the guitars could have been a bit higher and that they didn't play "Beautifully Depressed", but other than that - IT WAS GREAT!

Down kick major ass. Im with Gozu regarding Down II being better than Nola. Although both albums are awesome.

I think NOLA has a classic feel that Down will never capture again. II just didn't have the same vibe, but was a great album regardless. NOLA is just packed with grade A riffs. I found that II relied a bit heavily on the Sabbath sound (The Man That Followed Hell), while some songs sounded a little too much like COC (Learn From This Mistake). But overall, great songs, great sound and good performances all around...
