Ugh, I might be taking a third shift job, it's 3:00 a.m. and I'm suffering...

Sleeping with a relative is a bad idea man!
this one should've gone to the jokes thread
Biert wrote:Apparently, if you sleep 20 minutes 6 times throughout the day, it's enough to survive (right Brainwashed?).
Yes it is! Though it's incredibly hard to do...I am going to take another shot at that in about a month.
I've been suffering from insomnia for about a year now, so there are often times that I've had to function on very little sleep. In an attempt to correct that, I tried to do what is called Uberman sleep (also known as Da Vinci sleep, Polyphasic sleep), which is what Biert is talking about. The basic principle is that by spreading out your sleep periods you're sleeping much more efficiently, and thus not needing to sleep as much (to be more technical, every time you sleep you are only having REM sleep, without any of that wasteful NREM sleep you get during normal sleep). It's very hard to adjust your body to a schedule like that, and it takes some serious motivation. During the first week I swear that I was running on about 5 hours of sleep...it has hardcore. So hardcore, in fact, that I don't remember that week at all.
The brainwashed do not know they are brainwashed.

I've just went an entire night completing a report for Psychology and my brain is dead. School in two hours. Coffee time.
Oh man, at least you had a reason to not sleep. I wasn't doing anything special at all last night, but I looked at the time and it was (to my surprise) 4:00am. I got kinda freaked out and decided I should probably get to sleep, but nah, I had already hit panic mode and wasn't able to.... SO HERE I AM NOW!
Oh yeah, countering the effects of lack of sleep... Um, I believe Seven Eleven sells these big ol' mondo cans of this stuff called Jolt. Unhealthy amount of caffeine but it really works.
... provided it doesn't kill you or anything.
I gave up on day three, I got sick and couldn't stand it anymore.

That can do wonders to your brain.
