Adjusting the angle while having the 'buildings' box checked off is pretty neat. Try looking around the White House or Empire State building.

My buddy and I have discussed this yesterday and came to the conclusion it's an "intelligence" thing. You know, basically the terrorists can't exactly organize an attack with google earth or something. I can't see any other reason. The southeastern coastal side of lower Manhattan is a mindfuck.

They're a bit late with these precautions, aren't they? About 5 years?

Maybe late with (pre)cautions, but not caution altogether.

I think that screwing them up just a little is by all means a good compromise between "openness" in information and national security. Anyone who needs bit by bit perfect schematics of a metropolitan area can't be up to good things.

God I got to get Google Earth! Checked it out once in a friends house, quite cool to look at your own home from the skies.
